Variable Speed Drive (VSD) AK06 series is designed to control and protect the submersible pump, electric submersible pump, and displacement pump units with induction and permanent magnet motors. Triol AK06 VSD solution combines unique technical characteristics, the highest consumer qualities, and excellent reliability. Triol AK06 VSD is represented by 8 lines, each of which was created for a definite segment of the global oil production industry. The lines differ from each other in the cabinet enclosure type and the power device connections at the VSD input. Triol Vector Control Mode

  • On and off motor settings;
  • Operation of the electric motor in the following modes:
    • “Manual” (without the possibility of automatic ESM re-activation after the protection trips);
    • “Automatic” (with the possibility of automatic ESM re-activation);
    • “Automatic” (in accordance with the specified time program);
  • Braking of a motor in the presence of turbine rotation, with the subsequent start;
  • Current optimization mode when the specified motor speed is reached;
  • Operation on the assigned time program with separately programmable times of ESM on and off state;
  • Manual motor speed control by means of UMKA-03 controller and remote control by means of control panel;
  • Automatic change of the output frequency according to the specified time program;
  • Smooth acceleration and deceleration of ESM at a given rate;
  • Reversing the motor;
  • Operation of the motor in a field weakening mode when rotational speed is higher than nominal (only for induction motors);
  • Automatic start of the electric motor with an adjustable time delay when energizing the supply voltage;

  • Ability to operate with reduced insulation resistance of the “Cable-ESM” system with high-speed disconnection at overload;
  • Measurement and display on the built-in liquid crystal display of electric drive and submersible installation current parameters;
  • Ability to control the motor remotely, control parameters, view and change protection settings via a downhole measuring system by means of RS485 and / or Ethernet interface;

  • Ability to display information about VSD doors open through the downhole measuring system at the control room;

Continuous monitoring of three phases power supply voltage availability, disconnection or prohibition of switching the motor on if one of the phases is missing

  • ESM switch off in case of deviation of the mains power supply voltage (if this deviation leads to an unacceptable current overload with the possibility of reclosing after voltage recovery);
  • ESM switch off at underload (protection against supply disruption);
  • ESM switch off an overload (in accordance with the programmable ampere – second characteristic);
  • ESM switch off for overcurrent protection (overcurrent protection);
  • ESM switch off at unacceptable reduction in the insulation resistance of Cable-ESM system;
  • ESM switch off due to the unacceptably low output frequency of the electric drive;
  • ESM switch off when the protection of the power tongs of the electric drive is triggered;
  • ESM switch off in case of power modules overheating;
  • ESM switch off when the specified parameters of the downhole measuring system are exceeded;
  • ESM switch off at an unacceptable pressure in the pipeline (according to the signals of the contact pressure gauge);
  • ESM switch off in case the door of the power compartment of the cabinet is open.
